Standard Stereo problems

Post by shadywon »

When listenening to My Cd unit, there is no sound from the left speaker, and the sound from the right side is crackling, yet when listening to the radio the sound is fine. Im guessing there is a fault with the CD head unit !?! How do I get it out ? I cant see any where for pins etc ?
Any help much appreciated

The original stereo is bolted to a bracket behind the centre plastic trim, do a search and there is a walkthrough on how to do this somewhere on this site

Do you get the CD player problems with different discs (i.e. originals as well as CDRWs)? I must admit, I've got a similar problem with my headunit, although when using CDRWs the audio output can hardly be heard - even with the volume turned up to the maximum. Stick an original CD in or use the radio, and it's fine. Very odd.

Let us know how you get on.
