03 MR2 MK3 - Missing part on back, need replacement, Help!

Post by jamb0r »

Hi all,

Only got my MR2 MK3 a couple of weeks ago, but I went to get in it this morning and noticed I am missing a part on the back. I have no idea when I lost it, as it was definitely there when I bought the car. I have no idea what this part is called, or where I can get hold of a replacement - hence me asking you guys for help! I have taken a photo - its the small grill type piece to the right of the rear numberplate (On the later models with the different rear).

Any help as to what this part would be called (so I can search around to see if I can find a replacement), or any suggestions of places that deal in parts like this would be very much appreciated!

Other than that I am TOTALLY in love with my MR2 :)

Pretty sure part number is T52161-17020 and should be under a tenner from your local Toyota parts department. It's helpfully just called "PIECE, REAR BUMPER, RH" #-o

I would assume it's an easily removeable piece as the nut for the towing eye is behind it...

Thanks very much! Really appreciated! Found a few online but they all seem to be in the states - I'll give the local dealer a call a bit later on.

Thanks again!
