Ok, so I thought it'd be a bit easier than this...
Does anyone know if I have to buy the "PC9-406 - Toyota Amplified System to RCA harness lead" for my car. Or is it possible to re-wire this myself direct to the head unit.
I know this is the right adapter for my car, the plug looks the same!
However if I can avoid paying the £30 for something that I could wire myself in an hour I'd much appreciate it!
Thanks
Steve

The adaptors are:
PC2-17-4 if no active speakers,
PC9-406 if active speakers & Apr 1990 to Jan 1994,
PC9-411 if active speakers & Jan 1994 to Apr 2000.
And it doesn't connect via RCA sockets/leads. It's a bridge between your cars wiring socket and the 'standard' (square) socket on your headunit.
