I went for the Dep, thought the Nur spec looked a bit wierd. :?
I wanted to retain the twin exhaust look, and I liked the look of the silencers hanging down, reminded me of something...........

Just my 2p

Does anyone know if the phoenix power spl dept 2 is the same as the really expensive Garage Fukui SPL Dept 2 Pro exhaust from Japan?!?
Now that is a nice looking and sounding exhaust!

This link has a video/sound clip you can download!

I'd buy one of them right now if I hadn't already bought an exhaust recently! Duh!

I thought they were the same exhaust (ie phoenix power/Garage Fulki)?
Michael wrote of the Departures inferior quality, is this correct? If so why is the Dep 2 more expensive than the Nur spec?
Also where is the proof that the Dep 2 results in less BHP? Would Phoenix Power be using them on their big power MR2's if that was the case? :?

yes garage fukui and phoenix power are the same, just different names in japan and the states for some reason. same thing with trust and greddy, same people, different names in respective countries.

i can do you a px deal on your mongoose for a departure 2 if you want :)

i traded my blitz for a departure pro..

the quality of the departures welding is excellent.. its a work of art.. as is the nur spec.

the blitz was much louder, noisy even at motorway cruising speed. where as the depature was loud on full throttle, but it is possible to drive quietly with it on the car.

i think the nur spec gave slightly better gains, the car runs out of puff a little bit quicker with departure.

over all they are both excellent top quality systems.. i just needed something a little quieter. im must be getting old

Yeah mate, you must be getting old

Just kidding buddy,

Your post reflects the voting though. It seems that the Nur Spec and Departure 2 are both decent exhausts.....I think I'll keep the nur apec on though just down to sound of it.

Don't think I could manage with losing its awesome sound!

My votes made it 50/50!

I voted fot the nur. Its always gonna be a personal choice. If you are considering it then you should go for it. If you stick with the nur you'll always be thinking "what if" you've toyed with the idea for ages. I reckon you should go for it and keep the nur for a little while just incase. But like whas been said. PP have no probs getting 600 hp out of it so dont think you'll notice difference in power. Just sound. Plus you'll gain the bling factor.

Your car might look good with it on. Didnt you photo shop it on once?
