Trip Home

Post by FizzyBlueMr2 »

Couple of days ago, driving home from work during a lovely sunny, warm afternoon in my carrib blue mr2 tubby.

Windows down, sunroof up, enjoying the drive.

Seeing a fair few peope looking at my car as I go past. Feeling chuffed...
.....and then I thought to myself "hey, cars sounding really nice today, must be 'cause I have the windows open and I can hear the exhaust better"....

....when the traffic slows down at the traffic lights at the next roundabout, engine gets louder.... hang on?..

.....and there, sitting a couple of cars in front of my was a ferrari 355 convertible!

So - now I know what everybody else was looking at. :D

Really nice car for the sunny weather. The showoff kept on blipping his throttle while we waited for the lights to change. Did sound really nice though.

...and before you ask, no I didn't race him. Was very tempted though!

...ok, so he actually went down a different road from than I did.

Well, mine is a fairly standard (save the rev 5 spoiler) looking n/a which happens to have a turbo engine in it running around 280 bhp, 290 lb/ft torque. 8)

So I was feeling smug again after a realised that I should be able to give him a bit of a shock/suprise if I did try racing him.... on private roads of course. :-$
