lowered shocks/springs

I'v just bought some PI 40mm lowering springs, originaly to fit to my standard shocks but i am undecided now wether to get some different shocks to suit the lower springs ( is it really necessary? )

If i go this route would i be better off selling the springs and getting a new set up, shocks+ springs??
or
just get some new lower shocks to suit the PI springs??

What makes and places??
I am on a budget. lol

i would say not really. ideally, u should be uprated shocks as theyre gonna be under more stress, and it will 'feel' better. But u dont need to. i still have original shocks after lowering and the handling has been good for 2 years now, no probs.

I brought some lowering springs around 110,000 km's, as my factory shocks were a bit worse for wear when I fitted the lowering springs I also fitted some near new (around 20,000 km's) FACTORY Bilstein shocks at the same time. Am now on 117,000 km's and have had ZERO complaints from the car

IMO assuming the shocks are in good nick they should be fine.
