Hi folks I do still exist!! Been a tad busy - had loads of enquiries every day - someone asked for a Rev3 gearbox yesterday (2K incl VAT). Another delivery of suspension components and door seals is due in any time now.

Anyway, I have asked about thjese but dealer cant find them on their catalogue. I can see them on EPC but when you click on part no it shhows up as blank on epc - is that because they are post 1995?: I'll ask again and include pic tomorrow

Yes, these are post 1995.

I believe these were only fitted to the REV5 models.

My BIL and GF have REV4 N/A and neither have these fitted.

Hi there folks

Just asked Toyota again and sent pic.

BTW dont want to break any hearts or anything but for all the talk about these being 'wind deflectors' theyre not - their proper Toyota nam is:

"53161 DEFLECTOR, FRONT BUMPER STONE "

So they are actually stone deflectors :-)

Also, the EPC doesn't show the bracket that the deflector screws into?

The two inner screws go through the deflector, through the arch liner and screw into a bracket on the inside of the arch liner, you could just use normal nuts though, with some serious washers.

The outer screw goes through the splitter and into a captive nut, so you will need to drill your splitter unless you have a Rev5.

Because I'm not sure what you get with the deflector Ive ordered all the screws, captive nuts and 'lugs' too. I just womnder whether the bottomn hole for your normal stone guard is recycled as onbe of the holes? dunno.

Must admit saying all this I think the things are rather ugly LOL!! But whatever people want...

Hi,

No, none of the holes are re-used, you have to drill two holes in the arch liner (4 if you are using the correct bracket inside the arch liner) and you have to drill the splitter. It's all straight forward though. Might be interested in a set myself dependant on price...

Just continuing the 'these are jolly ugly' theme...

Would not a set of mudguards achieve the same effect and look heaps nicer? Just a thought :-)
