JT, I wasn't trying being critical by the way, just presenting my thoughts as I saw it.

It does look nice, and I wish you well. (Free bump !)

It always seems to be those that either own a MKI or the MKII N/A that view the Tubby as not being worth it's money :-k I guess you just can't understand unless you have owned one ! £6500 for a car that will better a lot of newer more exotic, less reliable options is a small price to pay in my eyes :D

You go for your life JT, i'm sure the right person looking for the right car will be only too happy to hand over the asking price

Bought a tubby last Monday, having spent several weeks researching and viewing, which put me in a reasonable position to make a balanced comment.

Blinded by your own presumption you completely missed the point. =D>

Never mind.

That being so you should understand that the market is full of dogs these days and that people are prepared to pay good money for the right example. The MR2 turbo is one hell of a lot of car regardless of it's age and i'm simply saying that a lot of people over look this fact when judging car/age V' price ;)

I have to agree with Mike on this one.

When I bought my Rev1, I paid well over the odds at the time purely because I knew the previous owner had looked after it well, it had a huge amount of documents to back up the servicing, and he had chosen some very nice upgrades.

I didn't even haggle...

Would love to take it off your hands, not sure I can put the funds together at the moment though.
Have started to think it's time I moved up to a tubby :D, if can find the cash I'll give you a shout otherwise it will be a while longer for me to enjoy a tubby.

If this was around when I bought mine I would've been very tempted.

Superb lookin motor and very well maintained. All the work that's be done will see it through its next 10 years, except for obvious servicing etc.

Its well worth 6k, every penny of it. Most people buy their turbo and end up doing all of this stuff, spending 4-5k on top of purchase price! So 6k is a very good price.

Hold out for it mate, it will go when the right person comes along who appreciates all the work. I assume you've tried Autotrader too?
