CD Lense Cleaner (on the old How To section)

I remember on the old How To section on imoc there was information on how to clean up the cd laser lense on the standard unit to stop it spitting out the CD. It explained how you could clean the lense using a certain liquid & a cotton bud. Anyone remember what the liquid was called?
