All the Hass kits I know of have a GT28*something* turbo on them (GT28R for all the ones in the UK that I'm aware of, for example), or does the GT-25 series number not relate directly to that code?

See this post from SC, the GT28R is known officially as the GT2560R - http://www.spyderchat.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=28114&highlight=gt28r

To answer the original question... I've heard rumours that you actually can buy a factory MR-S turbo in Japan. Apparently a limited run was produced to mark the end of the model with the turbo kit also available as a dealer fit option once the factory cars were sold.

I've yet to see any evidence of this though... I can't find any on Toyota Japan's product page:

Rumours eh? [Wink]

Toyota Japan are releasing a limited number of cars with the TTE Turbo fitted, and a few other special bits, Bilsteins, TTE trim kits, slightly revised dashboard e,t,c

They will be available in Japan only and the through a very limited number of Netz Dealers.

I have this direct from TTE.
