Hi guys,
i rebuilt my alt, reinstalled it and im still not charging and ive still got the dash lights on.
i found a thread about testing the pins on the alternator wiring and 2 of the 3 pins have 12v. however pin1 has 6volts.
does this sound correct? or do i have some sort of wiring issue here.
Thanks
Ross.
EDIT:
i found an old thread "forums/viewtopic.php?p=1451389" which il check the wires, i didnt take note of the wire colours. im hoping its the common wire fault on black/yellow wire.

Spent some time looking at this again.... So it turns out the earth I was using wasn't great. Tested the 3 pins on the alternator plug and all gave 12v... So ordered a replacement alternator. Fingers crossed.
