Hi I am trying to rebuild my suspension to stock, done the lowered adjustable koni route and frankly the car just isn't the same. Low speed and poor surface road ride quality is bad and their either too hard or just bouncy and floaty. Plus it's now too low to park on my sloped drive. I am aware it's quite hard to track down stock springs and shocks as they are discontinued but my thoughts are some new Sach shocks from mr2 Ben and then maybe try and locate some Oem or as close springs. Does any one know of a source for Oem springs, on ebay there seems to be some offered but not sure how close they would be. Paul simms has some on his site which look identical to these too. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-MR2-MK1- ... Ciid%253A1
Any help grateful
Tom

Re: Trying to find Oem stock springs
It may be worth having a look for KYB springs, the catalogue says they only make the front springs now but there may well be some rears out there.
http://kyb-europe.com/catalogue/
Had a look & here are a pair of rears, but double check with your car:

KYB make the stock shocks for Toyota, certainly for the SS3 Celica anyway. Both front and rear are available and were a reasonable price last time I looked.

Re: Trying to find Oem stock springs
A couple of years ago I had some made to oem spec from a guy in sheffield.
£150 for a set of 4 stick in mind but I would need to hunt out the paperwork to confirm the price and the guy's contact details.
I think I still have the factory fit coils in a box in the garage rafters. A bit rusty but sound. '86 mk1a.
