Re: Purple Haze Now For Sale
I had misplaced (left on shell maybe) two of my pedal covers so had two different ones for brake and clutch
Then found a set for sale
After fitting them I found they were actually supplied by Toyota

Re: Purple Haze Now For Sale
There have been a lot more mods going on which I will mention once they are working, and the car was away at a specialists for 3 months
Anyway due to the new direction I am taking with the car I decided to change from the Teins to Eibach Pros thanks Al
Spring compressor not needed for removal
But needed for fitting the Eibachs
Not needed for either of the rears though
A change of rear lights next thanks Wolfie

Re: Purple Haze Now For Sale
After removing the aircon both rad fans were on permanently so I bridged this plug which stopped it
I then decided to put a switch in the bridge on the dash so I can switch both fans on if I want
First silver toggle switch is to put single wiper into centre park and second for the fans.
Then decided to take the air con unit from under the dash and put the non ac funnel in instead
and use non ac bridge on plug
But now the fans were on all the time and I found I needed six wires connected on the aircon ecu to stop the fans
I then repositioned the aircon ecu into the frunk by the ps out of the way

Re: Purple Haze Now For Sale
Anyway the big news is it is now an automatic because of my left knee problems an automatic seemed the best option, I looked at merc slk and supra's but decided I like the 2 to much
So it went from looking like this
With these toyota option pedal covers
To looking like
The eagle eyed amongst you will notice the holes drilled into the centre of the clocks for the gear indicators and the pedals now look like
I thought the auto lever looked ugly
Then I saw Gary's supra and after pestering him I was inspired to modify my lever and make the car give the illusion nothing had changed even though an awful lot of hardwork went into it and it would have probably been cheaper to do a turbo conversion  , first the switches were relocated
Overdrive is the other side of the steering wheel, I had to change seats as the high sides on my recaro sr5's were pushing my leg over and hurting my knee
I think I achieved my aim

Re: Purple Haze Now For Sale
I have now had it resprayed as well, here it is after coming out of spray shop
Then time to put new seals in the tinted T-bar panels
Which I think look better
Then realised seatbelts had faded to a blue colour so replaced them
Changed the clear indicators for smoked to match side lights
and had the steering fogs fly eyed like the non steering ones they are replacing

Re: Purple Haze Now For Sale
I should point out it is still mystic mica purple as it does look dark in the pictures
Then found the fuel gauge wasn't working so ripped dash apart and got another gauge to go in and then saw
So repaired the break the easy way
which fixed the problem

Thank you Andrew
I have got to add some updates but todays post is just begging for votes in the Autosessive competition, of which I am through to the finals
http://www.autosessive.com/blog/awards/
Voters could also win a prize
Voters will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win a 1:12 scale remote control Lamborghini Aventador
Thanks

Re: Purple Haze Now For Sale
Thanks everyone
I was more shocked that my phone knew it was Fuzz but I do have truecaller
I am quite proud of winning as it was down to me converting to an automatic that did it and I know a lot of people think I am mad for doing it.
I finally got my black bilsteins (66000KM) but before I could fit them they needed a clean and
To cut off a droplink which didnt take too long
Then fit the Eibach pro springs
and remove the Sparco Crimson staggered 16's I had fitted but gone off

Another little job was the lexus door handles
But I didn't want the grey lock buttons so took the mr2 and lexus handles apart and made one out of the two
Which looks a lot better

Re: Purple Haze Now For Sale
To fit the PIAA H3 bulbs in the steering fogs I had to add an earth wire as they are built for H3c bulbs
Then I could fit them after being Fly eyed
Looks just like it did before with non steering till they are lit up

Decided to try staggered 16" wheels again so acquired a set of Enkei winsome CX's 7j and 8j and fitted.

Not convinced on the look yet but it does seem better to drive
