[Mk2] [Turbo] Driveshaft rebuilding - axle stubs handed?

Post by SonicSW20 »

Need to replace one of my driveshafts, or at least rebuild it due to broken splines at the hub end.

Does anyone know if the hub end stubs are handed? I have a spare one and access to another one. I can't see anything on them that makes them obviously handed, so I'm wondering if I can just install it onto my driveshaft? I need to replace the boots anyway.

Hub end, not gearbox end.

lol classic half asleep response there sorry

having just looked at the ones in the garage, they look identical at the hub end, but can't see inside the CV rubber. from the rubber end to the outer tip they are the same.

Yeah, I'm confident they're identical now, I asked a couple mechanics / specialists who confirmed :thumleft:
