Sidemount Intercooler - Brand new, boxed

Post by mr2nut123 »

I bought this for my tubby but never got around to even opening the box due to using another car and ultimately, selling the MR2 last week as I hardly used it.

Comes with everything you need to replace the restrictive factory radiator. I've had these units on all my MR2s with the usual breathing and boost tweaks, with no issues for many years. They're very efficient and sound brilliant!

It's this kit: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282547441840

Open to offers around £120. Would rather collection, but happy to post out if required.

Wouldn't advise removing the standard radiator and replacing with this intercooler :-k

I see this turning into a petty back and forth about unproven imoc chatter.. I've always used them and seen proven cooling benefits on the dyno. Granted, it wasn't huge, but it was more free flowing and adds a nicer whoosh sound on boost.

He was joking about the use of the word radiator instead of intercooler, it's not that deep :thumleft:

I'm just used to people hijacking for sale threads on here so assumed the usual. No problem.

Can you use the original shroud on these?

I don't believe so, but there's enough air flow in. I'm sure GTS Chris made some years ago and some members have them for sale occasionally on here. It would be easy enough to have a template made up and laser cut if you felt necessary though.
