[Mk2] [Turbo] Oil filter relocation kit

Post by rossonza »

Is there one? ive trawled ebay and found them for other cars. Just wondered if anyone had re-located the filter to allow easier changes.

Cheers
Ross.

They are avalible but its a tight fit on the 3sgte. Some will fit and others wont. There is a few threads on here about people having success its probably worth trying the search box if you can figure out how it works ](*,)
I have a greddy one fitted but i dont know if prevous owner modified it to fit

I've just removed this from my 5S engine, which would be a bolt on for you:

- Mocal sandwich plate with side feed entrance/ exit take off plate (bolts onto block)
- 2 x AN10 fittings for take off plate
- 2 x AN10 stainless braided lines with straight hose ends one end, and 90 dgree fittings other end
- Mocal remote oil filter plate
- 2 x AN10 fittings for remote oil plate
- AN10 one way valve to prevent oil drain back from filter when engine off

You'd have to start using slightly larger diameter filters- the Camry v6 ones are a direct fit.

I've got some pictures of it installed, and can take some of all the fittings for you if you are interested...or I could give you all the part references if you want to replicate it yourself brand new Not sure what I'd ask for the kit, I'd need to look at what I paid...but it's an option for you.

OK...shopping list:

Take off plate and top hat
http://www.jjcraceandrally.com/race/san ... d-1-2bsp-2

Compact remote oil filter plate
http://www.jjcraceandrally.com/race/san ... ilter-head

4 fittings
http://www.jjcraceandrally.com/race/san ... -adaprtors

4 dowty washers
http://www.jjcraceandrally.com/race/san ... lter-heads

2 x 90 degree hose ends -10
http://www.speedflowshop.co.uk/-10-an-9 ... 1758-p.asp

2 x Straight hose ends -10
http://www.speedflowshop.co.uk/-10-an-s ... 1740-p.asp

2m Braided hose -10 (might get away with 1 depending on where mounting)
http://www.speedflowshop.co.uk/stainles ... 2433-p.asp

One way valve

-10 female to female connector
http://www.speedflowshop.co.uk/-10-an-s ... 2165-p.asp

If my maths is correct- £422.33 excluding postage, including VAT...but you may find stuff cheaper by hunting around.

I'd be up for selling mine (hoses already made up) for significantly less than that...drop me a pm if interested :thumleft:
