I don't know what the fascination is with the frunk.

With the battery, would I still be able to fit my full size spare wheel? I doubt it.

The bit of angle was aluminium.

Lauren could you fit your spare wheel in the front with that setup?

I'd rather lose a section of my boot space than lose my spare wheel.

Paul Woods did the battery mod to perfection. I am sure the wheel fitted too but there was a lot more fabrication with what he did.

His battery was in the front but higher up and on the right.

My car had the battery at the front and the spare wheel fitted, but it was the space saver type that I had.

I've mounted my battery in the frunk of my car, I think I've gone a similar route to woodsport and mounted it on the passenger side and run the cable under the carpet along the sill and there's a few holes in the bodywork from the factory that can be made use of. I'll upload a pic of mine later

you are aware that aluminium conducts electricity too right?

No, though I've never worried about carrying a spare wheel.

I never had a problem with it. The battery was very tightly clamped down.

If you'd ever seen can happen when you short out a lead acid car battery you would never position a strip of metal (any metal, it all conducts) that close to the battery terminals.
It's not just a question of the battery moving, what about when your disconnecting/connecting the leads or removing the clamp ?? very easy to short out the battery.

No point in taking a chance when you don't have to, IMHO
It could have been positioned an inch further forward away from the terminals and insulated along its length, I certainly would have and would recommend that anyone fitting a similar type clamp does the same.

Mine will be going in the boot (rear). Cannot think about not having a spare but mine is full size.

I'll get a boot installation made up and secured safely in place.

Fair comment. I did scrap the car about ten years ago though, so it's long gone!

Sorry, I picked it up and went for a blast down the A133 before the A12 and the intercooler pipe blew off which made an incredible sound! Not!

Burnt my hands putting it back on, but since then fixed the hose properly and my god it's a weapon!

Running without an air filter at the moment due to not having correct diameter rubber hoses but that'll be sorted in a few weeks. The intercooler brackets are going to be remade for something stronger, but all in all it's been very good so far.

I need a Toyota oil filter as the halfords one I HAD to buy at the time, doesn't allow the oil to stay in the filter so it drips back to the sump.

It's got the big pulley, the camry idlers, 4-2 exhaust manifold, ABV mod but the SC belt is squeaking at the moment so need to tighten that up.

Will get it on a dyno soon but i need to replace my 14 yr old tyres and all of the suspension, but will be ordering BC coilovers soon.

Sounds good. Blank off the ABV though. We did tests on the 'ABV mod' years ago and it will cost you boost pressure. It's a bit a bodge really.

An oil filter is very easy to get off the shelf at Toyota as they use the same filters for lots of their cars.

I'm still running with no air filter but I've ordered a 70mm 45 elbow to remedy this problem.

Is there a way of turning the boost up on a hidden screw somewhere? I'm sure somewhere I've seen it mentioned...

No. The boost is simply limited by crank speed and size of your crank and supercharger pulley. The trouble is with boost pressure (if you have a gauge) is that it is depedent upon the efficiency of your intercooling. As the intake temps get higher the air expands becoming less dense but giving more boost pressure and less power of course.
