Another new addition, probably won't run it this year but will try it out for a day at least [Laughing]

I loved my old one.

Visibility is horrible, they like to blow over if you don't have them flat, marking the paint and they leaves marks on your rear surround. Other than that though they're brilliant [Laughing]

Not too bothered about that, got a spare surround so I'll just paint that up [Laughing]
Just got to fit a few bits then decide whether to paint it black or red [Think]

Depends on your aesthetic goals for the car. Might look mean with the red nicely polished and then a few black accent bits. Means you can add carbon bits without them standing out too [Wink]

Just red in my opinion, black is going against the colour of the car and giving that boy racer modified non standrd look, if you know what i mean.

p.s. this lid does wonders for helping with cooling, imagine trying to cook a chicken with the oven door open [Wink]

Yeah that makes sense, but my concern is it makes the carbon stand out a lot more (not sure if that would be good or bad).

Anyway for the time being it doesn't look like the car will be on the road for this summer, it would have been back off end of August and I've already lost a complete month as I wanted it out all of may. Bodywork definitely won't be ready for at least a couple of weeks (possibly more), so pointless paying hundreds for a couple of months of once maybe twice a week fun [Rolling Eyes]

Tried on a couple of the engine lids and I think I prefer the F40 style lid over the PP lid

No contest: F40 [thumleft]

Although, to my eyes most things are nicer than the PP. Never been a far personally.

I never was til I bought the white car and loved it but I guess the colour contrast makes the angles look a bit weirder with a red car.
But the F40 is defo a keeper [Cool]

The F40 lid for me. Years ago I looked at buying a MR2 Turbo from someone on here but bought another MX5 instead! That had a F40 style lid like that. In the flesh on the correctly modded MR2 (as this one I looked at was) and yours is they look awesome. Would look like crap on my own car as needs the right other exterior mods to pull it off imo.

I look forward to seeing this car done.

Kind words buddy, unfortunately it won't be fully done this year as I've been caught behind with a few things, some my own fault, some not, but the car won't be run this year [Crying or Very sad]

Been on the car for about 1 year - body wise she is finished.. cars nearly finished, rebuilt engine last year, due to issues from the builder ( but thats another story..).. to ensure 100 % and all electric looms checked or replaced.....[Smile]

going to the roiling Road with Andy - androo007..[Smile] on 03 June.. should be interesting..

The 2 is definitely a statement love it or not...lol

The clear lid is something that has me interested actually but I don't think it would go well at all with my parts, that being said it would look wonderful with my engine bay I think [Laughing]

Haha well I need the looks to back up the power [blackeye] be interesting to see how you get on!
