Heater Hose Required!!

Post by smithy3793 »

After finding a leak on my 1987 MR2
I had got underneath to find that this was coming from the rubber hose which connects to the metal pipes for the heater.
Unfortunately I cannot find the part anywhere, after calling Toyota they have informed me that this is no longer available from themselves. The part number is 87245-17091 I believe.
Can anybody assist? I am located Birmingham UK.

Thanks in advance

Beware it may be the metal pipe itself. If you go for silicone pipe, use a bit of instant gasket and a good quality clamp as they don't seal as well.

I had something similar happen, but it wasn't the actual hoses that were causing the problem. Have a read of this thread http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... ight=close
it may help.

Sorry, I don't, it was 7 years ago. However by zooming into the pictures I can see the sizes on some of the clips. one is 11--15mm and another is 11--25mm. IIRC I just used what I had, the hoses are the same size either end.
