AD08R's are a solid choice, still work in the rain, and can handle some standing water. Best tyre out there this side of the full on just about road legal track tyres IMO. Only downside is the high wear rate so not ideal for daily duties if you do significant mileage. Perfect for fun. Will be getting a set for my 16inch Advans at some point :thumleft:

Cheers mate :thumleft:

AD08s are my first choice for replacement. Certainly better than the falkens that are on there at the moment!

The car is not a daily. Spends more time in my garage than on the road  , so the wear rate is not an issue.

Couple of pics from Japfest 2017 of mine and l1ca's championship white turbo:

Weather was spot on, apart from a harsh wind causing wind burn!

Massive turn out from the MR2 community! :thumleft:

Hey mate, yep, good to catch up!

Air cleared!

We left about 1430. Beat all the traffic and got home about 1700.

Yeah, long day! Got up at half 3 and out the door for quarter to 5! Roughly 300 mile round trip.

It's not so much the mileage, it's the getting up at half 3 and starting up both a M140 and Decatted MR2 turbo with Japspeed exhaust at twenty to 5 on a Sunday morning!! :pale:

I can tell you from experience that these tyres are brilliant, I've never driven
on a tyre that gives you so much feedback. Two or so miles to warm up
but when up to proper temp ! my god they stick. Will never change !
Gareth's right as well, surprisingly good water dispersion.

Cheers for the input buddy. AD08s were my initial choice prior to mentioning that my rear tyres were on their way out. Checked tread depth yesterday, and I'm on 3mm.

Also got the MK3 steering wheel re-aligned. :thumleft:

I use AD08R.. it takes effort to light them up even with 450 horses :queen:
