Have u got the wrong ignitor or coil on there. I seem to remember rev 1/2 had this problem when doing a rev 3 conversion and one of these wasnt swapped out.

There won't be any boost when stationary.

Yep. Classic sign of a rev1/2 igniter fitted to a Rev 3 turbo engine.

mine is a genuine rev3 turbo car so cant understand why someone would change the ignitor to a rev2 one ?
Anyway of finding out without removing i.e any visible difference betweek an earlier rev to rev3 ?
Am I right in thinking the ignitor is under the fuse box in the engine bay.

Its quite possible that a previous owner had a fault and replaced the part. Not sure what the differences are though but do know they are different.

as previously posted, it earths through that bracket so it wouldnt start if it was off the bracket.
