Removing momo steering wheel screws

Post by benjo »

Thought I'd post this as it may help someone
If you take your car to a specialist/belligerent ape with expensive tools
Who picks up wrong size Allen key and rounds all six screws,
This is what you do,first get the right size bit and knock it in with a hammer
Then use ratchet,is that doesn't work use a slightly larger torx bit
And use same method this got 3 out leaving 2 that where completely
Donald ducked, using t20 bits mix some kem fix from screwfix
And dip bits in ther hamer them in, leave to set for 30 mins then simply
Use ratchet to un do, then like borat GREAT SUCCESS :thumleft:

I just drilled them out when I had a similar problem. They are made from a very soft metal.

as said above, drill them out. or invest in an impact screwdriver, they come in really handy for shocking free stubborn fastners
