No doesn't smell like diesel best way to find out what it smells like
Poor some old engine oil on a fire, you would know if it's burning oil as
I would be using loads,I'd check oil top up if needed and just drive it
And check oil after a couple of days use, I wouldn't worry to much,if
You need a engine you can have mine foc when v6 goes in and rebuild it
Thanks mate I'll PM you regarding this.

Got a leak test kit off eBay for detecting combustion products in the coolant system. Stuck it on the expansion tank, engine at temperature, revs etc. Blue Fluid did NOT turn yellow which means no combustion products found. Checked it against the exhaust pipe to ensure its reliable the fluid went from blue to yellow. Spark plugs show no sign of oil, they're in good condition. So seems like the engine is in good health now I just need to take the car out on a drive.

Also the smoke looks blue in picture but got opinions in real life and everyone said it looks like white steam including a mechanic.

Thanks for the input.

Drove the car for 100 miles today on 30,40,50,60,70 mph roads. The coolant level goes up to ~7 inches when hot and down to ~4 inches when fully cold. Temperature gauge does not climb above half rather stays just below half.
