What do this connectors do?

Post by GTMatt »

4 connectors in image, on cam gear cover, currently not connected, have people removed them completely by chasing them back?

Cheers in advance

Running a Link G4 according to his project thread so I assume it's running off a wideband instead of the stock sensor.

Have you got 3 or 4 connectors there? looks like 3 in the picture but i've got 4 on my Rev 3 one of which not connected to anything.

Intercooler fan connector
AC Compressor connector
Lambda Sensor connector
One not connected...

Yeh I've got 4 all of which are disconnected and have partially melted whilst flapping around, I have no idea what is happening re: o2 sensor, there is a bung on the downpipe where they must have plumbed a wide band sensor for mapping then I don't know for adjustments whilst running? Anyone with more knowledge shed some light or tell me that's mental and should be corrected straight away hah

The ECU will just be using the wideband I would think.

I wasn't very clear, there is no wideband sensor installed now, just a blanked bung on the downpipe, so correct me if I'm wrong but it'll just be running an open loop system whereby the fuel isn't trimmed to suit real world conditions/ o2 feedback, What I'm unsure on is whether this is a good or bad hing, I'm sure people would come up for cases for both.

As long as its been mapped properly on idle and cruise then its not such an issue, on boost the Lambda doesnt do anything anyway.

I've still got my lambda connected but turned off, however I do have a wideband lambda to monitor the AFR's from and confirm everything is good on idle/cruise.
