Kel has moved it to its resting place... she said its sounds great...
confirmed it does have a revision 6 exhaust..
I am not as good at words like Mr Phil.. but ill take lots of pics tomorrow and have a ramble on my findings..

And so it begins!
I've yet to find any actual information on a Rev 6 exhaust. I know there were lights etc in the range but there's pretty much nothing on their exhaust Anyone know anything about them?!
WTF! Perfect!

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Pete spent some time looking over the latest acquisition today. We had a good idea of what was in it but this was the first opportunity to see what we were working with. Overall it's great little car. When merged with the Rev 5 the end product should be pretty awesome street car
Here's some of the handful of photos Pete got earlier:
The rot
And the dyno numbers (at the wheels):
He's even done a video walkaround: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDROZ-WAygA
So from what we've seen and can piece together from the receipts, it's got the following:
* Hybrid CT26
* Rogue Revision 6 exhaust. Can't be many of these around?!
* Forged engine, bored to 86.5mm and built by Rogue. Running ~285bhp at the wheels, mapped by 2Bar.
* HKS SMIC
* Apexi intake
* Apexi boost controller
* Oz Superleggera wheels
* Hi Spec big brake kit
* Kuhmo v70a v700 tyres
* Tein Superflex coilovers
* Underbody brace, type unknown?!
* Full polybushed throughout
Everything will be removed, checked, cleaned, prepped, painted etc, before going into the Rev 5. I can see the end product in my mind's eye and I'm pretty excited for the day it's done

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Time to flesh out my previous vague post.. Meant to do it that night but never got around to it
Over the past few days/weeks I've been thinking (as I do, a lot!) about the cars and the plans for them. It was pretty clear in my mind that the red one would be a straight donor, harvested for parts to feed in to the Rev 5. After inspection and discussions with Pete, we've come to find that it's actually a really great little car. Yes it needs a lot of TLC to get it back to where it needs to be, but really that's just sorting the sills and restoring the paint. I do kinda like that plate too What's also eating away at me is the idea of killing another MR2. They're slowly dwindling in numbers these days and I can't knowlingly add to that.
So, the plan now is as follows:
Rev 2
* Replace/paint the sills on the Rev 2 - Parts located and we have a welder primed and ready to go.
* Replace the NS door
* Restore the paintwork - Mainly needs a damn good machine polish!
* Strip/check/prep/protect chassis components with POR etc
* Remove/sand/prep/paint wheels
* Mechanical inspection of engine, to identify and resolve any issues
* MOT
* Drive the damn thing! A few visits to the track are in order, some drag, some circuit. After all, that's what it was built for!
This will be no garage queen. I'll do a chunk of work on it, mainly carrying out some of the ideas I have but never completed on previous cars. Aero and handling are the priority, amongst over things . The suspension is sorted as is, it was set-up by Fensport and shouldn't need touching. The power will remain the same, as for me it's at the sweet spot right now.
Rev 5
* Restore the paintwork. Treat/paint/protect surface rust patches.
* Strip/check/prep/protect chassis components with POR etc
* Remove/sand/prep/paint wheels
* MOT, for peace of mind.
* Put into dry storage for the foreseeable. It's a true bone stock, original Rev 5, it can remain protected and unmolested. I might sell it if a buyer comes along, not sure yet.
No more words for now. Time to go and start making it all happen.

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Today the Pink Peril (sorry Mule) had a full coolant change and bleed, also Adjusted the engine lid so it doesn't sit high on one side and low on the other..
I'm not as good with pics as Phil but i shall get some.
moved it to its new location on the drive for some cleaning up to occur and to get ready for MOT and Welding next week..
Also need to change the headlamp, and check the drivers side for a brake fluid weep, so couple of jobs for this week
And of course to stop Phil's brain twitching the Stickers are coming off (although there may be a hidden one for him to find)
Starts and stops, and sounds really good.. great little car..

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Thanks, Pete Helping to stop me twitching while I sit here miles away, waiting to get my hands on the car
Other things have been happening:
- The new inner and outer sills have been ordered, delivered and test fit. They were the most expensive of all the offerings out there, but look the best build quality and fit.
- The welding has been booked for some time next week. Can't remember when though?! Pete??
- MOT booked.
- Replacement NS door purchased and hopefully collected this weekend.
- We've also discovered it has Whiteline ARBs and braided brake lines, which is two jobs off my "To buy" list!
Hopefully, as of next week things should start moving on the car. I'll finally get to see it and get my hands on it next month. Probably not coming home with me then, as there's still plenty to do, but I can at least get to make skids and shouty noises in it! I am massively hyped to get my hands on this car. It might need some beautifying (which will come) but performance wise it should be awesome!

Jumping the gun a bit Phil, functional aero should be fun to do
Plywood splitter, relieve pressure from front wheel arch wells, Rev 5 speed flaps, whacking great rear wing to bolt direct to weight bearing chassis members for those track days? Flat underfloor at some point?
Iecku would probably be a good guy to get advice and rough specs from ?

Oh yes. I have quite a few ideas I've accumulated over the years, from when I was looking into MR2 aero improvements in the Mule II days. This really will be a test mule for many of the things I either never got around to doing, or simply weren't really viable with the earlier cars

Re: The journey of one man and his Mule(s)
Pete spent some time working on the car today. The focus is completing the tasks required to prepare for the MOT, using the last MOT (before I bought the car) as a checklist.
First stop was the headlight.
Removal to investigate.
Contacts just needed a clean, after which we're back in business
Time to whip off the wheels and check the brakes.
Looking forward to seeing how these perform. They need a clean up but I've heard good things about their performance.
Checked over and no signs of a leak, but there's signs of a previous leak though. One to check again in the coming days/weeks. They'll be rebuilt at some point anyway.
Braided lines confirmed. Which is good, as I was about to buy some
The plates will need to be replaced, for various reasons..
Import holder on the front, which is perfect as I much prefer the look of an import plate. I remember the difference swapping to proper import plates made on Mule I
Tyres look good.
Front Whitelines confirmed.
Full polybushing confirmed too. So another two big jobs that won't need doing. They'll all have to come off and be cleaned/preppred/protected, ready for the future.
Teins are dry, thankfully. Obviously need a good clean and service, which is part of the wider plans.
Engine lid now level, to stop eyes itching
As it stands now.
Next up is the welding, which is Thursday of next week. Once that's done it's MOT time and then the big check/clean/prep/paint/polish/seal/prepare missions begins!
Finally: Race car friends
