My new MR2 restoration project

Post by gt4 wrc »

Hi all,

i'm pretty new to imoc but been on mr2oc for years and owned several jap cars
from Corolla's 4AGE to Supras.

I came across a car that really appealed to me so wanted to share with you...

She's been standing for a year so the plan is to get it back to her former glory.
now I dont know the full details of the kit but been advised the colour is Triumph Green (bike colour)

some of the initial work:
- Paint wing and bumper
- clean up wheels - maybe change of colour
- not sure about the rear wing so might change
- Full Mop at the local bodyshop to bring out the colour (not to everyone taste but I think it's pretty unique)

it might be known as it has an oc sticker

You got the deal done then, congrats. :thumleft:

I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

Hi guys,

May need a little help from someone handy with some tools!
so the car has just had a service and a once over at Toyota

I will change the seats over the weekend and swap the steering wheel to a stock one.

There are a few bits I need a hand with if possible as I want to get it road legal asap.

Jaspa is going to give me a hand, anyone else welcome of course.
basically the rear wheels alignment seems to be out and it appears something is bent.

ex owner hit a curb, suspect he spun out but he wouldn't really give me the full details.
the car drives no problem but theres a noise from the NSR wheel.

other than that i've just had a minor service and a once over by my local Toyota garage.

- 1 front shock (will do both)
- possible wheel bearing

once its running well I want to get her MOT'ed and taxed
then can look at mods/body work
