plugin, yes.. link must be pushing them hard with dealers, I've seen a few places discounting them recently - seen a couple of supplied/fitted/mapped for a grand etc

That's a great price!

Yeah I can't wait , the guy seems really well respected,
One thing though that he said he's going to do, opposed to
Fitting a switch in the cabin to go between low and high
Boost. He's going to work it off my throttle, so that anything
Below 3/4 gas it will run of the actuator and anything over
3/4 will be full boost.

Is this a good way of doing it ? , the way he explained it seemed
Smart "won't hit full boost on low throttle out of a roundabout in the wet"
Etc, still learning ....

If his skills are good enough to make the switch of maps seamless then sounds like a great idea.

Whenever do you need full boost if you are not at WOT?

Yeah, I do see the argument, just not heard it being done that way before.
Anyway its booked in on the 5th so I will be able to report back a few days after when I collect.

Someone else mentioned that its not worth installing a aftermarket ECU
unless I'm changing the Turbo and fuelling, is this true ?

Surely getting it mapped on the CT20 to over 300 flywheel, getting used to that
then in the future going for a larger or hybrid Turbo and better fuelling isn't
a bad idea ?

Standalone does have a benefit even on stock fuelling / turbo, it's just pretty expensive for not a huge gain over the stock ECU plus a boost controller. If in the future you move to bigger injectors etc then you need a standalone because the stock ECU has no way of knowing what injectors are fitted and your fuelling would be all wrong.

For me going from 260bhp to 300+ is a big enough gain to justify
The price, also along with the better drive ability etc.
In the future I do aim to go with bigger turbo etc, 1k all
In is a great price for the storm fitted and mapped.

Don't worry, he has. But only a one stage launch control
Because I don't have ABS / ABS hubs to read a 2 stage.
