Rev 3 turbo complete bottom end - perfect runner

Post by androo007 »

Hi guys,

I now have my bottom end ready for sale.

This was removed from my rev 3 turbo on 82,000 miles.

Only removed for forged build upgrade where I used a completely different block (rev 2).

The engine ran perfectly (I drove it over 300 miles to Peters at SBITS where it was removed).

Run standard for 76k, and 0.9 bar until 82k.

Head removed and bottom untouched. Still one piece.

Sold as great condition, a perfect solution to if your bottom end has gone and want a cheap, quick alternative to a full rebuild.

Or you could pick up a rev 3 head for peanuts and you have a rev 3 engine.....

Collection from SBITS barnsley, or £45 delivery via pallet to UK.

Pictures of speedo and engine to follow.

£400

This is cheeky I know as you have already reduced it but I would happily pay £200 and organise a courier if you could bring yourself to get shot of it for that?

My bottom end is a bit smoky on full chat and although it pulls well I wouldn't mind a backup in the shed. Given it is now a very old bit of engine that I personally don't know how good it is I can't really justify anything more.....

Cheers

Hi Rob,

Nope, sorry.

The engine is perfectly fine, i drove it circa 250-300 miles from Brighton to Barnsley to drop the car off with 0 issues (and never have had any). The engine never used oil, smoked or anything like that.

Obviously with second hand engines they can never be garunteed, but i bought the car 100% standard (even stock exhaust, cat etc) from a middle aged man who garaged it for 8ish years, before that it was forum owned.

I put on some bolt on mods, and ran at stock 0.9bar, even then like a granny.

It's in a workshop where people constantly need engine work - i'm very confident it'll sell quickly otherwise for £300.

Its about as un-absused as you're going to get from a Turbo'd Mr2, IMHO.

That's perfectly understandable mate, I'm sure it will sell for 300 too - good option for someone without the cash to go forged. :thumleft:

Why would Peter use a rev 2 block rather than your rev 3 block.

Hi Dylan,

Actually, i'm not sure. If you give Pete a quick call at SBITS where the engine is, he can give you the full run down. 07710648257.
