[All] [Generic] MR2 Head up display

Post by v1xz »

Any ever seen this in a MR2?
Or have an idea where I should be connecting the wires to?
Head up display from a Turbo, sorry there are no make/serial numbers to define this.
Thanks in advance

It looks very similar to a Defi Virtual Super Display,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HUD-Heads-Up- ... 7675.l2557

http://www.nengun.com/defi/with-difficu ... lay-225081

I couldn't find a manual for it, but found some one who had installed one and the four wires your holding are vehicle's ground, switched ignition, speed and tach signal.

sorry mate cant find the original post, but I looked through the manuals for Defis current HUD's the VSD x and VSD concept and both of them use the blue wire as Tachometer, and the Green wire as the speed wire. both signals could be picked up on the back of the instrument cluster in much the same way as people fit delimiters.

Looks good mate, you may find that if the difference between the tacho and the HUD is simply a case of the digital HUD being more accurate than its mechanical counterpart. How much is it out by ?
