Picking up my 1990 G reg MK1 tomorrow so will do an oil change asap.

Shell Helix HX7 10W-40 Synthetic Technology Premium Engine Oil

Currently 5l + 1l included for £28.46 including delivery @OPIE OILS

Is this excellent value for money or does anyone else know of a better oild for similar money?

I wouldn't know. I run mine on the cheapest oil possible.... :-k

I used Mobil super 2000 10w40 from Halfrauds for £26 for 4L

I would suggest a 10W 40 semi synth where possible, rather than a fully synth oil. For me, the engine doesn't warrant the additional cost of a fully synth unless you're giving it a regular pasting on track etc...

I'm lucky, in that being in the oil blending business, I only pay around a pound per litre. :-)
