Can anyone tell me if this problem is possible without dropping the gearbox down or can I get to it by removing the battery tray etc
http://i575.photobucket.com/albums/ss19 ... x_done.jpg
The replacement box I bought was stripped so I had to put all my old stuff on and simply because we didn't think about it, we didn't check to see if the red circle was connected to whatever it's connected to or not.
I could only get into 1st gear this morning and none of the others.
Please advise if this is possible from above and how do I connect it to the other thing?
Cheers
gearbox selector issue

Re: gearbox selector issue
Simply remove the two bolts holding the gate selector arm on to the casing, fit the square peg that's probably missing into the gear selector slot, refit the bolts, 60 second job if that.

Re: gearbox selector issue
This ended up being a bit of a funny one...
It didn't take 60 seconds as I had a hangover as well...
The plate you said about, we left on the replacement gearbox. The square metal bush was still on it but for some reason the plate/arm was just too shallow to pick up on the selector thingy below.
So I mercifully found the one that came off of my box, fitted it and it worked fine.
Two different arms for the same model gearbox? Weird.

Re: gearbox selector issue
Sounds like the arm was bent.
