Post by m666 »

1994 Toyota MR2 GTS Turbo, Mk2 Rev3 Grey.

Top specification Japanese import model with 3S-GTE engine and low 82k mileage. Has been kept as 2nd car hence low mileage and good weather driving only. Originally imported by specialist UK dealer and delivered with full conversion to UK road requirements including tachometer (KPH to MPH) and rear fog lights. For insurance purposes a Toad cat 1 alarm & immobiliser has been installed.

Modifications include:
* Lowered/stiffened fully adjustable BC Racing suspension
* Mongoose twin stainless steel exhaust
* Apexi AVCR electronic boost controller
* Radtec charge cooler, Bosch water pump
* CDA air filter, A-Tech Final Speed bronze 17" alloys
* Momo steering wheel
* Recaro fishnet seats

ECU and all engine internals are standard. Power is estimated at ~280 bhp from stock level of 240 bhp. All modifications have been performed by specialist MR2 garage in the UK. 2 owners with next MOT due 10/02/2016.

Currently for sale on AutoTrader see the link below for the full spec and photos:

Love the Recaros - they look mint!

I don't suppose you'd like to sell them separately would you? \:D/

I have a mint set of leathers you can have...

Do any of you know of a way to change the AutoTrader title or stats? I tried and their customer services couldn't do it, appears they don’t handle grey imports well.

I am based in Aberdeen Scotland, so the price accounts for flight/travel costs to get here as limited number of interested purchasers up here.

I have owned the car since it was imported about 10 years ago. Love the car but new house means it has to go :(

If the description of that car is correct, it is a VERY nice example GT spec Turbo. I think that to someone who is serious about buying a well sorted and well maintained MR2 Turbo, 7 or 8 grand for a solid late example is not such a ridiculous price.

Yeah - it's actually not far off where values are going now, for decent, clean ones anyway. It's been a long time coming, and a recent SH article hinted at SW20s perhaps climbing in value again (the one about the Japanese "neo-classics" meet).

I wonder how much he'd knock off if you didn't want those wheels :-k Probably not much.
