What are the holes for in the top of the cap?
I'm in the process of bleeding the clutch and by one person it's awkward obviously but when all air seems to be out I put the cap on after topping up fluid and I can press the cap down and fluid comes out...
Does this mean there is still air in the line?
Cheers

Re: Clutch master cylinder cap
If there were no holes in the cap it would create a vacuum when you press the pedal, as fluid moves to the slave it needs to be replaced by air at the reservoir, same when you lift off, fluid moves back to the reservoir and displaces the air out of the cap.
I recommend the Sealey bleeder, works perfectly everytime. You do need a small compressor though.

Re: Clutch master cylinder cap
I don't have / able to afford a compressor at the moment, so i'll just continue with the previous method.
