Brake calipers

Post by Harold »

Hello chaps,

Where's the best place for calipers these days?

My fronts are knackered, pistons very rusty, sticking and one of the seals is weeping. Not interested in rebuilding them myself, just want a quality refurbished set.

Thanks.

I can throughly recommend BiggRed. They supply off the shelf, you return yours and they return your deposit. You can have a choice of colour too if that's your thing!

Thanks bud, have been looking at brakes international. Will check eBay also.

Are refurb calipers usually supplied with bleed nipples?

The picture of the calipers on brakesint shows it with a nipple, but they also have it as a separate listing.

LOL
That's about as useful as "mine were done on the internet"

Brakes International are pretty good :thumleft:
Peter at Sbits used to do them at one point, not sure if he still does.

Thanks very much for that, bought a set at lunch time! Here's hoping it doesn't rain this weekend.

Brakes international have slashed there prices over the last few months. I paid £100 for just one rear caliper back in June and now the same caliper is £15 cheaper. The front's are also a steal at £120 for a set of fronts.

I love living 10 minutes away from them
