[Mk2] [NA] Headlights don't pop up properly

Post by TheLepresean »

Hello all, having bit of an issue with my headlights, sometimes I turn the headlight knob all the way around and the headlights don't pop up at all, side lights come on, but no headlights - I have to flash the high beams to get the lights to come up and then they work fine. Any suggestions what might be wrong? It's fine nine times out of ten, it's just the odd time that irritates me. TIA.

One of 2 things possibly Sean.

Either relays or wiring but as ity affects both it's an idea to look before it gets to where the loom splits to each unit.

Cluster switch is on it's way out so is not connecting on the 10th time.

John.

My first bet would be a sticky relay.

Hi Sean,

I've got the relay and cluster from Chris so PM me when you want to collect. Evenings after 5pm are probably best. :thumleft:
