So put in a cheeky order from Japan  It's a TRD gearbox mount. Mine is properly shagged, so this will reduce the movement currently.

That will be put to one side for when i do the clutch soon, as well as the Redline MT-90 i've bought too.

Now my old Teins had the infamous Tein knocking from the top mounts. So i've gone ahead and purchased the replacements! HSD DualTechs from Driftworks.

Image

They were fitted the same day they arrived!

Made sure i covered them vigorously in ACF-50 to protect them.

Excuse the filthy car, it had a bath the next day!

How are you getting on with it overall? Like the performance?

I bloody love it. The HKS induction kit on it makes it sound unreal. It seems to surprise a lot of other cars out there also, because of the noise it makes no one expects it from this car. It's similar to the K20 from the Honda Civics, you do have to be above 4500 RPM for it to go any where. But when it does, it produces power right the way up to the redline at 7900 RPM. :thumleft:

So it's been a while since i've updated this. A fair bit has changed!

Up next came a set off Rota Torques 8J x 17" +45.

Image

Image

Then i had the Rota Torques wrapped in Yokohama W-Drive tyres ready for the winter.

Image

Then some 'TRD' sideskirts.

Image

Front lip and rear lip require painting before they go on!

Image

Then came some TRD street pads and a Project Mu band.

And genuine discs

With genuine rear pads

And that was pretty much it for winter.

Then spring came round the corner and it was time to order up some summer tyres!

Bridgestone Potenza RE070 225/45/17

I got a bit fed up with how stiff the HSD's were on a daily drive. So i sold them on and purchased some TRD shocks and springs.

Cheers! They are a nice car. They can be subtle when needed and really open up into a bit of an animal when you plant your foot down. I'm still yet to get myself to a sprint day - but i've always been to interested in buying car parts to improve the car and forgot about actually driving it

The car has come on a small what since i last update this. I've tweaked little bit here and there.

First off i've cutout access to the top mounts to adjust the damping easier.

Image

Then relocated the Mishimoto Catch Can to somewhere more convenient to maintain. Fabricated a small bracket to attach it to the brace.

Image

TRD Gearknob fitted

Image

Hardrace Rear Toe Arms purchased and fitted!

Image

Image

Image

Then replacement of the bottom balljoints with some genuine items.
