[Mk2] [NA] Toad Ai606 installer

Post by TheLepresean »

Hello everybody,

Following Peter Gidden's advice, I'm looking to get a Toad Ai606 installed in my 2 following a failure of the OEM alarm. I'm looking for a recommendation and price idea in terms of an installer? I want someone cheap, but obviously not at the cost of a decent job! I'll want all old alarm gubbins removed, and the new alarm installed alongside the window open/close module for one of the extra buttons and a sidelights on/off for the other? I believe that's something they can program? It's a UK Mk2 Rev5 NA, and I'm in Kingston upon Thames if that makes a difference?

Thanks in advance! :thumleft:

If you want Thatcham Cat1 certification, you'll need to find an approved installer. Give Toad a call for a local guy.

I was trying to do exactly that, but can't find a number for Toad themselves - just "approved installers". Equally, this thread was designed in the hope that someone knows an approved person that does a good job cheaply? Any recommendations?

I've rang that number, it goes through to Gap Security - an approved installer, not Toad themselves!

Maybe It's like ADT you can only contact approved installers, rather than ADT themselves?

Perhaps :-k

The question still remains, does anyone know any installers/have any recommendations?

yell.com seem to have quite a few in your area that list car security/alarms you may have to do some old fashioned ringing around, alarm installation also tends to be a sideline of car audio shops so try any that are local aswell

Ah thanks, might just have to try that. For now, I have a rear bumper to get repaired after someone very kindly hit my car in a car park and neglected to leave a note!! Gutting seeing as I only had it professionally repainted 3 weeks ago...
