Rev5, cosmos blue NA - Undecided on a few things

Post by Mikey637 »

Hey guys, thought I'd finally get a thread up. My girlfriend named the car snap because when I had the nur spec it used to crackle and pop, this is since long gone though as it used to make my head hurt #-o

Done quite a bit to this already, this is an excuse to pic whore my car and keep track of things.

So this is how she stands at the moment!
Image

Gave it a good old polish (needs a lot of stone chips sorting and a proper mop)
Image

Japfest!
Image

Very recently I modded my dash clocks with some transparent film and LED's and installed an AppRadio3 :thumleft:

So what I've done so far. (08/11/14)
Near enough full service.
Modded clocks
Appradio
Blueflame decat
Apexi induction kit
Installed a Vibe optisound behind the passengers seat.
New discs all round
New pads all round
New callipers all round
New brake lines all round
BC BR's + drop links
Ball joints
Led rear lights

Things still to do:
Sort sloppy brake pedal
New brake servo?
Polybush's
Refurb Advan SA3R's
Save for V6

More updates to come! :thumleft:

Small update.

Fitted chrome dial rings, blue transparent film behind all the white lettering on the dash clocks (will put up a night time picture when it's dark) and I also installed polybushed gear bushes! Shifting is much nicer but no pictures of that.

Nice motor!

I've got chrome dial rings in mine, with an EMS boost gauge replacing the useless factory boost gauge.

Chrome rings finish the clocks off nicely. :thumleft:

So the blue is terrible and the 12smd leds with 4 on top and 8 around the sides disperse the light less evenly than the 8smd LEDs with them all on top. Apart from the dial rings today's time was wasted on the clocks.

Image

Got to say though, shifting is 10x nicer now I've got the polybush gear bushes in, might have a good at rotating the cube when I change the gearbox oil

This happened yesterday :)

Image

Two things I'm not happy with though is the open end and the fact the front seems too big to "tuck in" properly and always makes me feel like I've left the handbrake half up.

Image
Image

Does anyone know of anything like a chrome tip or cover for the handbrake? Think it'd go nice with the chrome dial rings and I'm going to be getting the Lexus chrome handles soon :)

I was tempted by a Rhon but preferred the full length, need some sort of "cap" to go over the end though :S

Is this really your old one? I was amazed at its condition when I bought it off of Julian, was tempted to grab the carbon bootlid and do luck spoiler off of him.

Yep with the newer and poorer LEDs, see post #1 for how they actually look (reverted back to that)
