[Mk2] [Turbo] Just wondering
Been removing parts of the old stock sound system, and found the amp behind the drivers side rear speaker, there seems to be another similar looking part on the passenger side behind the speaker, what is it, is it part of the old system and its good to get shot of?

Whoops, turns out that's the door control unit, I'm guessing it has something todo with central locking.
So in the passenger side I found the amp, a sound filter box thing, and another metal box, can anyone say what these do? I've stripped them out with the loom but would like to know what they are anyway

Hi there, one - (the bigger box) is the speaker amp, the other (smaller) will probably be the sub amp. if you have the 8 speaker "live sound" system, there will be another sub amp in the drivers side. the main amp is behind the storage box in the middle of the seats on the engine bulkhead. - hope this helps
