So I have an electric aerial which works fine, however I'm wanting to switch to a bee sting type fixed aerial. Can anyone tell me of problems I'm likely to run in to? Also what is the reception like on the smaller aerial. And lastly would I be better of fitting a dummy bee sting just to fill the hole and then fit one of these?

Pics here of the Honda S2000 aerial conversion on mine, it includes a built in signal amplifier so reception is perfect. It was basically a straight swap, just need an aerial wire extension cable (got mine from Halfords) and positive connection to the signal amplifier.
