About £4k for the engine and one of Gouky's fitting kits. All the labour I'm doing myself. Mines a turbo so all the driveshafts, gearbox etc get reused. Just need to buy a new clutch and flywheel to fit.

I think all in 5k is a fair price.

You use the original DBW throttle pedal and mount it in the footwell with a bit of bracket fabrication. Just run a cable from the pedal back to the ECU.

The nice thing is once I figure out why the ECU doesn't like the original speedo feed from the clocks (which it should) then the cruise control within the ECU can be used. As it controls the electronic throttle body.

Also for folk worried about DBW I wouldn't be as it's impossible to tell it's not an analogue throttle.

We've done another one since and there are two more superchargers currently winging their way from Australia to us right now.

I guess they're the TRD units from the Aurion if they're coming from Oz?

You got it, exactly the same kit that's on the Evora S as well - although they powdercoat the Harrop HTV1320 black rather than red.

...and here's a comparison of the same car on the same dyno before and after supercharging.

200lbft at less than 2000rpm, and a really nice power curve, very linear. 8)

What's one of these chargers cost?

You're looking at the thick end of £5k for the complete kit.

Yowzer.

So you'd be looking at the thick end of £10k for a 2gr and one of these

That's for the supercharger, injectors, cast aluminium inlet manifold, brackets, oil pipe, bearings and belts. There's no ECU with the kit and I suspect the stock 2GRFE was reflashed with a specific SC map.

Is there any other kind?

I consider the TRD supercharger route to be currently the most economical route to the power figures it achieves. Don't get hung up on peak figures either - the vastly larger area under the curves means that the supercharged car would be well ahead before you've even hit max horsepower.
