If it rains, and I get on boost - back is flapping like a fish out of water.

Are these their track tyres?
If so what do you expect?!?

Cant be as bad as Nankangs though surely?
Ps, if it's raining, slow down.

they're not track tires (I think, they're not the V700 ones, but I will check) but yeah, I slowed down - got a bit caught out - not that I was flooring it, just accelerating with some boost from lights.

Can easily happen, wasnt lecturing you.
In my advancing years I just put the traction control on and slow down as soon as I see water these days.

KU31's are fine but I don't go booting it round corners either.

My Kumho Exsta SPTs were pretty awful and wore down quickly. I was behind an MG ZR once and the whole tread of the tyre peeled off at about 90mph and nearly caused a bad accident!
Re: some rain + kumho ecsta = rubbish!
i like my ku31's
Re: some rain + kumho ecsta = rubbish!
Interesting, I've had Kumho Ecstas before and never really had a problem with them
Re: some rain + kumho ecsta = rubbish!
KU31's are absolutely fine. Considering mine has over 300hp and gobfulls of torque they take a lot of provoking to break traction. Okay you'll do it in 2nd gear in the wet but what tyre will hang on under them circumstances?
If they are new or it rained after it has been dry for a long time then wait and see how they go. Still no improvement, look at your geometry.
For the money i honestly cannot fault them, so fitted them to all of my cars

If it was from the lights it could have been oil or just greasy warm and wet roads.
