Rear brake piston question

Post by JarraJ »

Hi all

Have researched the subject and although I'm 100% I can perform the task I have 1 question to ask...

When the piston is wound back in will it "bottom out" and come to a definite stop or will it wind back in but keep rotating without receding into the caliper any further??

Having read PW's guide he mentions you may need to take it past 12 o'clock as much as is necessary, then back out 180 to get a good fit on the pads.......from this I presume the piston will reach a point where it wont retract any further but will still rotate...is this correct??

Thanks in advance folks.

John.
