im currently with bell but renewal is due next month and they wont give me DOC anymore because of my age

im 20 and will have 1 year NCB and 3 points, looking to insure a rev3 turbo for less than a grand with DOC

i had a rev2 turbo insured with 0NCB and i was 19 when i started that policy and i had DOC all for under £1K but cant find a similar deal

What's DOC? I've been with bell since I was about 19 and found that they couldn't be beaten, until last year sky insurance was cheaper, now I can get classic nothing even comes close. [thumleft]

Classicline, kris knott and performance direct, don't expect much from them though as they wanted about 800 or something off me:)

I'd be happy with that as I have an ol postcode which isn't a good one according to insurance companies [Rolling Eyes]
I'm paying about £700 now for the v6 and have got a supercharger going on plus tried to knock a lamp post over last year [d'oh!]
So trying to see which will be my best option when I come to renew. [Angel]

Aplan was the best for me

£1169 Fully Comp with £300 total excess, 6000miles, all mods declaired and on a Like for Like bases

Im 22, 1 years no claims and 1 accident that was my fault

Great price considering its cheaper than all the TPFT quotes I have been getting!!

Oh and they offered to protect / insure my excess for £36 Which means I have to pay no excess if I have an accident, seemed silly not to take it realy [thumleft]

I was with Quinn Direct for about 3 years, and had my MR2 insured with them. They weren't quite the cheapest but all quotes include cover on other cars on a 3rd party basis, which is rare for young drivers (I was 20 at the time) and gave me a lot of flexibility when it came to borrowing family's cars. Several times I had to switch the insurance onto a borrowed car while mine was off the road and there was never any associated charge, the call centre is quick and efficient and open 7 days a week.

I'm now insured with Classicline on my Supra, 8k a year, all mods declared, ungaraged in a Slough postcode and cover for commuting - all for around £500. Not bad for a 23-year old with a Supra Turbo, although 6 years NCB helps [Smile]

Nope, just said they don't insure that sort of power anymore. Didn't think to ask for a limit. I think my mod sheet scared them off. Maybe I'm being too thorough. [Think]

Best to declare everything IMO.

On my old Charade I had a mod list that covered one and a half pages of A4. Flux wanted a report on headed paper from a garage confirming everything was on there. [Laughing]

same here. Its sectioned and covers 2 sides of A4. As you say though, best to have it all known about. Would rather that and know I'll get it back (hopefully) should the worst happen.
