Modern Classics MR2 Turbo Review November issue

Post by Madabout »

Good article on the MR2 Turbo in the November issue of Modern Classics.

It gives a good review of the car talking about how the turbo was a JDM model only.

They talk about values increasing, the rev3 sorting the earlier issues of suspect handling with prices ranging for a MR2 for £1500 for a project to £10,000 for concurs right now with a opinion prices will only increase.

They also mention to buy now as searches will only increase in difficulty moving forwards

Nice to see a positive article on them as whilst I have been into my Japanese cars for a while the MR2 Turbo does seem to have been overlooked somewhat in recent years.

was it purely just about the turbo's then and nothing about the N/A's?

wasn't it the rev2+ that changed the handling?

All about the turbo model and a hidden gem from Japan Toyota kept backfor the homeland but many imported over the years. The car they had was a rev3 Turbo but your right would include rev2. Down to the way I wrote it.

Yeah the general view is MR2 Turbo is a good future investment and the rev3+ was mentioned as the best options in the general view as had all the best bits.

Yeah nah, some dumbarses may think it was the rev3 wing which corrected the uncontrollable handling with its huge increase in downforce...
