Good to be back in an MR2 - NOW FOR SALE

Post by EarL »

Well, the search for my perfect Roadster is at an end. :thumleft:

After being messed around by dealers and private sellers alike, I've found a stunning Sable coloured roadster that ticked all of my boxes, and the owner has been incredibly accommodating, driving the car over 100 miles back to South Wales for me to see!

Anyway, here he is...

Pic - photobox doesn't work

Post by Jvanzyl »

Hey Earl,
Would love to see the pics but your photobox account needs money applied before the rest of us can see anything!

Hmm... that's weird! Photobucket used to work fine without paying for any subscription. What do people use nowadays to post pictures?

Thanks Mr T :thumleft: I can only agree with you. However it must have a 2zz at least. Apparently, lots of fun and it doesn't break the bank either.

Catch you soon Phil. John.

Images updated :thumleft:

Thanks guys

Having owned both MkI and MkII's in both stock and modified form, I was really interested to know what a decent MkIII was like to drive.

What a pleasant surprise I got when I drove this one! The whole car feels like it's on it's toes! The turn in is super sharp and balance through fast bends is brilliant! Really confidence inspiring!

I'll be completely honest... The driving position for someone of 6 foot or more is pretty cramped, and needs a bit of fine tuning, but once you get settled, it's absolutely excellent. I'm really enjoying the car.

It's having a set of Tein lowering springs fitted this week and a decent Apple CarPlay headunit as the aftermarket Sony one that was fitted by the previous owner, whilst being a decent bit of kit (bluetooth, DAB etc), doesn't meet my requirements, so it's coming out. Look out for it in the for sale section! :thumleft:

More progress pics to follow over the forthcoming weeks/months :D

Nice to see you back, not a bad choice of a mk3 either. I was just looking at your old car on youtube, if you had signed up to adsense that video would have earned you at least £320 but possibly more.... :-k

Good luck with the car btw glen :thumleft:

Its so strange how the mk3 seems to grow on you. I find myself quite wanting one these days.

You should definitely give one a go Phil. The handling is amazing! Proper go-kart!

I swear the tyres are made from Velcro on this thing!

Quick update...

Ordered some Tein lowering springs last week and as it was a nice day yesterday, I thought I'd fit them.

Got the first one on without any struggle. Second one brought something to my attention. A leaking front strut that was completely shot! No wonder it felt a bit weird! :D

New ones ordered along with a new drop links all round and it should be good to go!

Hopefully get that lot on in the next few days (front ones are on in this picture) :thumleft:
