Like i said i bet a Mk1 topmount could be easily fitted onto a Tein coilover, or if it didn't fit i bet it wouldn't take a lot of modification to work, then the whole lot would plug n play.... i didn't have some Mk1 topmounts to play with, but i did have a welder and a grinder and a scrap Mk2 chassis to play with, so i figured i could always run Mk2 suspension from then on.

It's much simpler to just change the topmount on the coilover though.

I'm pretty sure you can change the springs to whatever you want.

Finally got the R8 exhaust system fully welded up and fitted today, she sounds much much better than the old TVR silencer, nice and quiet at idle but still with a nice bellow when revved, looking forward to hearing it under load now.

Yes it's a beast alright mate, it rocks the whole car left to right when revved, really funny seeing that in a Mk1, god knows what 420nm of torque will feel like on the road!

I'm dedicated to getting the bodywork done now, feels like i'm on the final stretch.

Thanks Sam, yes it finally sounds right, that TVR box was just a hollow can and just resonated far too much, so i'm happy the mechanical stage is now finally over, just got to get her looking the part now.

This looks amazing! If my Mk1 hadn't have given in to the rust gods then this might have been on the cards!

I got myself the tvr box, can't afford the r8 gear lol just a tad on the expensive side lol

Glad to see this coming along! Car is gonna be immense!

Dry sand didn't work, wet sand didn't work, heating the metal with oxy-ac didn't work either. I spent days and days trying to find a way of not crushing the walls with that thing, i just ended up giving up.

Mine will safely bend 20* or so without crushing, after that it will crush.

Aerospace tubing use frozen water in aluminum pipes as mandrel. I am not sure what size of freezer would one need for an exhaust though :-D

Yes someone hacked my Youtube account and deleted all 82 videos, then changed my password and logged out, so at the moment none of my video links work, i'll get it sorted though.

Youtube won't tell me anything, nor will they reinstate the account because i am not the registered email recipient.... tried countless times to explain that would be because it has been hacked, but it appears they are incapable of understanding.

Youtube have the worst customer support i've ever encountered.
