Updates there will be. The "to do"list is ever shrinking and ever growing at the same rate. But not tonight, the urge to rest wins right now. :)

For me, the urge to rest wins nearly every time

Here's a few of the historic mods I made prior to starting this thread. First off the strut brace:

This is what it looked like in the bay, after an initial clean-up in there. As you can see, the brace has seen better days..
Image

Sand sand sand and you'll eventually get bare metal!
Image

Three coats of primer
Image

Spraying commenced. Not the best of weather to have done it
Image

Done :thumleft:
Image

Not a bad finish at all. I might got it powder coated in the future, depending how it holds up in the engine bay

The HKS EVC was mounted in the ashtray area and didn't look pretty, so I knocked up a little mounting plate

Primed

Three coats of matt black enamel paint

The Aquamist water/meth injection kit in the boot was looking a bit sorry for itself

Image

Canister tray out, sanded, primed and sprayed in matt black (had a big can  )
Image

Canister etc cleaned up, cleaned out and popped back in. Much cleaner

The gear gaiter was old, tatty and dirty. As you'll see in this photo which shows the car when I bought it

Image

One new short shifter gaiter from Rhon later and it's on to the old frame. I took several hours over this, as it had to be perfect. A normal person might do it in one to two hour though of course :thumleft:
Image

Back in, along with a shiny new Greddy gear knob :D

The HKS turbo timer was mounted on the underside of the steering wheel, so it constantly got knocked by my leg ](*,) The solution was to mount it in the leg vent, which luckily is an almost perfect fit. Bar a bit of work with a scalpel.

The matts, wheel etc etc have changed long since then

Nice updates mate, as said it's the little things that make all the difference. Glad you got rid of the chequer plate mats.

Strange you had a revision 1 steering wheel on there too

Lower power consumption, so maybe a little bit more power for the wheels? ;)

What lamps can use use as a straight swap for the stock units, which are a nice bright and clean white?

Not really sure that is a vaild reason for swapping LED's lol.. My logic is they just look damn cool.

Not sure on the lamps.

Hmmm, it's all a bit odd isn't it :k

Mats, I hate them. I'd have none, like the driver's side, but you can't trust passengers to have clean feet. Maybe a shoes off rule needs enforcing, like in the house ;)
