fitting mk3 seats in mk2 ? how hard

Post by alan_uk »

hi as title how hard is it to get a set of roadster seats in to a mk2 do they simply bolt up to the subframes or is there more involved ?

would it be better to buy a pair of aftermarket seats ?

thanks for any help :thumleft:

I couldn't say for sure but I doubt they'll just bolt in, never know though. If you can get a picture of the underside of the mk3 seats you could compare the rails and should be able to work out exactly what needs doing. I'd imagine it'll involve welding.

You need to fit them in the car and drive it before you can decide Alan as I have had quite a few different seats in my 2 including custom welded up frames which I then found uncomfortabe or the position wasnt right. Eventually I sourced the recaro speeds which I have had on two different subframes.
