That's what i was going to suggest, EBC turbo groove discs, i have these on my car been running them for 18 months pretty good budget discs, look good too. Think i paid a bit less than £150 though got mine from amber performance :thumleft:

Cheap drilled discs are liable to cracking around the holes. Grooved should be fine though.

They're not drilled, they're "dimpled" :oldtongue:

I've got these discs as well, zinc plated in gold, coupled with Goodridge hoses and yellow stuff pads. My brakes are awesome now.

Yeah big improvement over the old brakes on mine, I am just using the standard "black" EBC pads (it was cheaper to buy the "package" & Yellows separate!) seem fine for standard road use :thumleft:

wow!cheers for all the replys.its probably just me being fussy but i dont like the look of just grooved discs.but i heard that drilled and grooved are prone to cracking alright so im just gonna go with the grooved crn ones.has anyone a pic of what these discs look like on the car just as a matter of interest?jus seen these ones now.red stuff pads and free silver zinc coating aswell.they would do fine im sure would they?perfectly suited to my budget aswell

Yup, those are the ones for your car :thumleft: I got the gold zinc coating which goes perfectly with my bronze alloys. Been on the car for 6 months and still look like new, not a spot of rust anywhere :D

If your budget can stretch another £60 or so it's well worth getting some goodridge hoses as they will make a difference also :thumleft:

Also worth pointing out that you need to fit them with the grooves the way Jim has them in his pictures. Sounds obvious but some discs are designed to have the grooves the other way around and some people just get them wrong full stop. I checked with CRN when buying mine and the grooves go the way you see them in Jim's pictures :thumleft:

Are those CRN discs and redstuff pads better than the OEM pads and discs then?

My experience with CRN was that they shipped the disks and pads as promised, on arrival they had sent Rev1 front pads and rev 2+ backs, phoned them, very apologetic and I had the correct pads the next day.

Did sound like they had some stocking issues as they had to send them from another order to avoid waiting though.

Great disks and pads.

Heres mine:

And I see CRN posts here...

I was happy with the service before purchasing... but after I received the discs, and fitted them, I noticed they started to rust (and I ordered the coating ofcourse).

Emailed you guys, but never got a response to that.
